Dance - The Expression of Divinity inside

I am a person who loves Dancing so much.

Padma Subramaniam  and Rukmini Devi Arundale.  These two people I respect them a lot.

Padma Mam has got hundreds of Awards adding to her Glory.  Even at this Age She is flexible and a fine expresssions makes her a Adorable Dancer.

She is Goddess Durgai for me.   She has got the blessing of Maha Periyavaa for writing a book on Karanas i.e postures about 100 postures it seems from Temple sculptures.

She is a complete encycloepedia for many dancers.

I am one of her fans.  Since I am a Karate Ka,  I am able to respect and adore her as much as I adore Jackie chan, Bruce Lee (THe Element) and Jet Lee.

Dhananjayan couple and Chitra Visweswaran,  these legends make their appearance only in old Doordharshan.

How I became a Hindi MA (Nishnath)

Hindi is a Language in which God blessed me to do MA easily.  It was my father who was insisting upon Hindi's importance as National Language.  I respect Tamil and I really love English.  Hindi I like.  But to begin with I was not that interested.  It was my Third language in Indian Airlines DAV school.,  DAV school had a branch in IA colony especially for IA staff.    DAV school gave me introduction of Swami Vivekananda by giving me a small book Thus Spake Swami Vivekananda in my Third Standard.  Yamuna Miss shd have been my Hindi Teacher or I think Subashini Miss.

After that Hindi started in Eightth Standard.  My First Teacher in Prathmic, Madhyama was Kaushalya Aunty.  Myself and Narayanaswami were DAV school friends.   But I know him better after going to his house for learning Hindi.  It went off well.

After that myself and my Brother went to Jayashree Maami.  She is an excellent coacher.  She is so dedicated and she had two children, one daughter and a son.  She took special attention for my Brother Devan.  Devan Passed Hindi BA ie. Praveshika, (Visharad) only bcos of this Maami.  We call her Maami means aunty.

I can never forget that Ashoka lessons we learnt from her.  She will tell meaning for every difficult word in Hindi.  I got first class in all the exams I learnt from her, like cake walk.  Sharukh Khan's Movie Ashoka shd have been inspired by this Ashoka Naatika book But we dint have Kareena's character in Ashoka Naatika as far as I remember.

Then,  bcos of Devan we were changed to Lalitha Maami.  Lalitha Maami was running a Creche that time.  There will be lot of tiny tots all around the room, we have to learn from Maami as such.  I used to muse at that time itself as to what will happen to my Kid,  when I have to go for a Job.  That time, Guru, Bhargav and Nithya were small tots whom I love the most.  They will tell I love u di to each other.   As a Teen Ager I will be amused at their level of confidence at their age of two, three and four.

Jai Shankar Prasadi ki Aansu, Mahadevi Varma ki Murjhaaya phool, aur Gandhi ji ke baaren mein Yug Purush aur Prem Chand ji ke -  Nirmala, Gaban, aur Go Dhaan -  Ye sab meri andhar samaya hua hai.  it is within me.  Chandravali Naatika and Aashaad ka Ek Dhin jis mein Kaalidhas ki prem kahani aathi hai - these books are there in my heart, brain and soul.   For me Brain and Heart goes hand in hand.  They fight with each other but I make them convince each other.  For some years recently It has become a tough task for me doing that.

It was really delighted reading Hindi under the guidance of Lalithat Maami.  She will take us to Hindi Mela conducted by Dhakshin Bharath Hindi Prachaar Sabha, Natesan Street,  T Nagar, Chennai.  Mela means workshop,  They will conduct us classes from all the papers that will come for our Hindi Exams.

I learnt Hindi typing too bcos of my Father's interest and my own flair for typing in Bharathi Instititute.

My Father takes me to all the Hindi exams and he will come for picking me up after the exams.  He is a mixture or emotions, both Hot and cool.  Once He dint come and I cried like a kid even tho I was plus two that time.  I dint know the route to my Home from Kings Matriculation school to my home at Palavanthangal.  Saravana asked me to come for doubles but I refused bcos I wont be comfortable and my father is strict about Boys friendship.

My father wanted me to do Hindi Translation but I clearly told him that CA is my Ambition.  Then, he left it to me.  He would make me translate all the Hindi movies that were broadcasted that time in DD two ie. Metro Channel like Aaradhana, Abhimaan, Baawarchi and what not.

AMar Prem, Guide aand Paakiza  -  Geeth Gaaya Patharon ne and Sandhya ke pictures, Waheewdha rehamaan   Those were my Translation time.  but No money for translation only my fathers appreciation and encouragement.  Thats it.

RANGOLI - KOLANGAL

I have learnt how to put Kolam or Rangoli when I was in school in eightth Standard and Nineth Standard from my friend Kalpana and others.  Dotted Kolams were easy for me but only upto 17 or 18 dots.  There were certain kolams which can be drawn using 36, 45, 54, 64 dots.

I cannot keep dots in a Mathematically straight line.  But I have watched girls, ladies and women drawing Big, Big and beautiful kolams.  They can keep the dots in a Straight line.  No Scale is required.  Such a Type of Clarity and strenght of Minds they have. mmm! (Jealousy burns me inside)

One thing that ocuupies me is Rangoli, No dots, only imagination. It can start from a circle or a flower or a square or a triangle.  Particularly, North Indian Women Folk are so experts at it.

My Aaya (Grand Mother) who lived in Chenguttai, Kaatpadi wud get up early in the morning like 5.00 am and sprinkle cow dung water on the Vaasal (wat it is called in English,, courtyard) and put small kolam which wud look elegantly beautiful in the white kola maavu powder.

I have seen Brahmins drawing Kolams with Arisi Maavu that is Rice Flour.  It becomes food to the ants and it is considered Auspicious.

I am so unhappy that I cannot draw Big kolams and rangolis.  Tho, I admire those girls and women folk who draw them, I can promise u Jealousy creeps in into my Heart. What wrong I did that I am not able to draw this, beautiful kolam.

Rangoli requires Color Combinations, Green with Red, Light green with Rose,
The alternative and contrast colors,  Actually, Our Kaatpadi women folk are great Interior decorators.  Yes, they live in huts and small houses but yet, By Birth,, Mark my words (N s Govindan sir style) Mark my words, they are born Interior decorators.  No need for them to pay Course Fee and learn it.  God has bestowed them with such knowledge by birth.  IN BUILT SYSTEMS THEY ARE.

May it be Sikkal Kolam or May it be Rangoli or May it be normal poo kolam, it needs lot of Calculations and color combinations.

From where do these girls get these Mathematical precisions.  In our schools and colleges we do drawings only with the help of Scale, Compass, Protractor and measuring machines.

In these kolams, Beauty and Mathematical precision both are seen.  From where do we get these?

Even in Caramboard game, there is a kolam in the centre of the Table, that Kolam is drawn with Mathematical Precision, If u can read it with Maths sense, It is TANGENTS, ALL OVER THE BOARD,  U HAVE TO CALCULATE IN UR MIND, like how to strike the coin with ur stricker, at which side u shd strike it, and to  which pocket ur aiming at.  I am again ashamed to tell that I can only admire the Carrom players,  It comes to me rarely only, May be I need lot of pracitce.

Kolangal, Not Abhi (devyani story.)

Rangoli and Kolam Girls, U ppl rock, I admire u a lot and wud like to emulate u ppl.  Nice, it is.

I have seen a Documentary movie on Kolams and rangolis. Nice one.

Getting up early, putting kolams, what a life.  mmm!

Artists (Drawings & Paintists) I know

I am not a Connoissour in Paintings.  But, bcos of my reading Ananda Vikatan, Kumudam, Kalki and Amudhasurabhi I have slowly learnt to identify the strokes of the Painters.

Maniam Selvan is a typical South Indian Painter.  The lines he draw are so erect and sharp.  He gives a chiselled features to the Characters.  He never draws anything that is not respectable.  Its a sort of Divine semblance.  His father Maniam is a well known and renowned artist, whose paintings of God are there in many south Indian Pooja Rooms

Shyam, Aras, Silpi, Gopulu, Jeyaraj, Maruthi, Travotsky Marudhu - these are the ppl I know who draw sketches for the characters that are portrayed in the magazines I above mentioned.

Shyam is a person who draws only curvy ladies, His Men also have got curves.  U cannot stop admiring the beauty that is apparent in those curves.  His faces are also so beautiful.

Aras, I think is a different person, with the colors he tries to show dimensions of the face but unfortunately the beauty that u get by avoiding the dimensions - that gets lost.  He is a nice artist but u wont fall in love with the figures that are being portrayed by his color paints.

Silpi is a Divine Artist.  I read that he goes to Temple, sits there for one hour or so, gets sinked in the  beauty, odour and  Grace of the God or Goddess and reproduces the image he saw there in the Sanctorium (Garba Graha)  I admire him and respect him a Lot.

Padma Vaasan, he is a favourite artist of Ramakrishna Mutt, Mylapore.  His Drawings are respectable and adorable.  He has got his own style.  Divine.

Jeyaraj is a sexy artist.  He will draw only thin and sensuous ladies,  they ll always look sexy.  His sketches will reveal the body of  ladies as such.  He can draw ladies wearing Negligees.  Sometimes, I myself feel shy to see those drawings.  But as u grow up, u tend to look up.  He cannot be borne solely responsbile, he has got to draw what the story teller and the magazine wants him to draw.  His men are also handsome.  I sometimes think shyam wud have been inspired by Jeyaraja sir.

Maaruthi is an excellent painter.  He draws so nicely.  The characters are always plumpy and round faced.  I can say by saying the outline and coloring, that it is Maruthi.

Gopulu sir is definitely a Legend.  There are certain similarites between Maarthi and Gopulu and there is a thin line differentiating their curves.

I am definitely not a connoisour but an identifier.  I love art.  U shd have photographic memory and a sense of color to draw pictures of what u see.  It is a form of Meditation.  It is an ART.  It makes u involve in the scene.  Refer John Keats Poem.

I thank God for giving me the sense of Admiration of Art.

I have seen a female Artist Teacher in the Train in Chennai,  I saw her drawing the sketches of whatever she saw in the Railway station.  It is really a magic.  The lines and Curves, where to emboss, how to give 3 D effect.  I wud like to learn art from a Nice Teacher.  May be sometimes later.  I am used to draw faces and girls and flowers,  but not very nicely.  Somewat, OK pictures.

GARAM HAWA - THE MOVIE THAT LEFT A MARK IN MY HEART!

Garam Hawa

The movie talks about the Partition of India and Pakistan

The families that got separated by Mohammed Ali Jinnah!

The Lovers who were separated  bcos of the partition,

May be, I have not seen Veer Zaara, which bores a resemblance to this movie1

The Employment opportunities that were denied for Muslims who chose to stay back in India!

Muslims, I love this Muslim family that was shown in this movie

A scene that I cant forget is A Lady Love cuts her wrist veins and dies out of blood  Loss bcos she is not able to get her Lover bcos of Partition.

The way they have their food together, Lots of Chappathis on One plate, Biriyani and the sausage and the curries displayed and they sit together in an Oval shape dining position on the ground and have their food.  Oh lovely!

The color of Muslims is the one that I get attracted the most.  What a Radiant Rose color faces they have!

All the characters in that story makes u feel the Pain of the Partition of India and Pakistan.

The Hero is an owner of Leather Chappals and Shoes Manufacturer and the difficulties he has to face bcos inspite of being a Muslim, he chose to live in India.  The Denials and Rejections that makes him feel wretched.

The Movie ends with an Agitation being shown in which the Hero's son also joins to get equal rights and oppotunities.

U wont believe, If I say I saw this Movie 10 or 15 years back. But that is the Truth!

I can never forget Garam Hawa!  It is a Movie to be watched and Felt.

I think the Hero is Guru Dutt, If I am wrong Pls let me know the right name of the Hero!

Thanks for reading!

Why Auditors shd be Independent?

I have Studied in CA Exam Auditing Paper that Auditors shd not be Financially Dependent on Client, that is they should not have borrowed any money from the Client.  They should not be Indebted to the Client.

This is a Real Qualification to be an Auditor.  bcos once u get money u feel Infereior to the person who gave u the money, bcos u have to show him Gratification.

Real Life Situation!

6 years back -

Myself and My Junior, a young boy from Kumbakonam, went to Audit to a Pvt Ltd. Co.  Usually, I dont get reimbursement from the Client. bcos my Father told we are not paying any money to the Principal as Guru Dhakshina, Instead we are getting some learnings from them, So, I shall pay u the Conveyance Money for which u shall stand indebted to me. No need to ask Clients.  I shall give u the conveyance, whenever u want.  So, I had never raised any reimbursement from My clients and Principal.

But this Junior, started pricking me to ask for reimbursement, as he is away from his Family.

He said, Idont have money in hand, I shall produce the tickets. get me the Money.  So, For his Sake, I went and stood before the Finance Manager of the Client Company and asked for the Money.

Having not asked for myself in all the years of my Articleship, I felt delicate but still in order to help this Kumbakonam boy, I had to ask.

I got the money and suddenly I felt inferior to the Finance Manager, My body language changed, I folded my hands before him and stood before him as If I am indebted to him and I started asking persmission from him - like can i leave the office?  When I analysed the Situation, I cud clearly see the Logic behind the Rule that Auditor should not be Dependent on the Client.  It is so True.
